Privacy Policy

Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how SYIOW collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and styling Service. It is written for an early-stage product and may change as our infrastructure evolves.
Information users provide
You provide information when you create an account, complete onboarding, use the stylist, or contact us. That may include account credentials, profile details, style preferences, photos you choose to upload, and the messages you send to the stylist.
Authentication information
We use a third-party authentication provider to create and secure your account. This typically includes your email address and an authentication credential (such as a password hash stored by the provider — we do not store plaintext passwords). Session tokens are used to keep you signed in.
Profile information
During onboarding you may provide height, weight, hair color, and eye color. We use this to personalize styling and to derive compact profile traits. You can review and update supported fields in account settings.
Style preferences
You may select preferred style directions (for example, casual or classic). Those selections help generate a private style profile used when ranking outfit ideas.
Optional image and photo information
If you upload onboarding photos (such as a selfie or full-body photos), they are stored in a private bucket and used to estimate color and body-related styling signals. Camera processing on your device happens locally until you choose to upload. Photos are not published as a public gallery.
Usage information
We store stylist conversation threads and messages associated with your account so you can continue a session. We may also store optional recommendation feedback you submit.
Device and technical information
Like most web services, our hosting and logging providers may receive technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and request metadata. We use this to operate, debug, and protect the Service.
How information is used
We use information to:
- authenticate you and keep the Service secure
- build and update your style profile
- generate outfit recommendations and conversation replies
- improve reliability, prevent abuse, and fix defects
- communicate about your account when necessary
AI and recommendation processing
Messages you send to the stylist, along with compact style traits derived from your profile, may be sent to machine-learning providers in order to understand your request. Catalog and weather providers may receive limited, non-password query data needed to return products or conditions. We instruct providers to process this information to deliver the Service, not to train public marketing profiles about you, but we cannot control every subprocessors’ independent practices. Review their policies as well.
Third-party service providers
We rely on infrastructure vendors to host the application, store data, authenticate users, send email, generate model outputs, and look up catalog or weather information. Those vendors process information on our behalf or as independent controllers of their own logs. We do not sell your personal information.
Retail and product integrations
Outfit cards may include product names, images, and brands supplied by catalog partners. We do not currently complete checkout inside SYIOW. If you follow a product elsewhere, that destination’s privacy policy applies.
Data retention
We retain account, profile, conversation, and photo data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Some backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.
Account deletion
You can request deletion from Account settings. When deletion is available and succeeds, we remove your authentication identity and associated application data we control, subject to residual backups and legal holds. Signing out is not the same as deleting your account.
Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport, access-controlled storage, and row-level restrictions where configured. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password.
Children's privacy
SYIOW is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
User choices
You can update supported profile fields, change your password, and delete your account from Account settings (when signed in). You may also request access or correction through the contact page.
Policy changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
